Suncor 2009 Spring Shutdown in Plant 52 & 53

Client: Edmonton Exchanger (Suncor Edmonton Refinery)

Assignment:

Vi-Spec provided six Quality Control inspectors and one document control personnel for the 2009 Spring Shutdown in Units 52 & 53. Installation of new pipe spools, control valves, PSV and vessel and furnace repairs.

Suncor Refinery Hydrogen Recovery Unit Plant 52

Client: Edmonton Exchanger (Suncor Edmonton Refinery)

Assignment:

Vi-Spec provided two Quality Control inspectors for the Hydrogen Recovery Unit in Plant 53.Installation of new pipe spools, control valves, PSV and other in-line piping components. Revamp three PSA vessels and installation of Sundyne Tail Gas Compressor.

Assignment:

AMEC provided the Engineering, Procurement & Construction Management on this project for CNRL. Vi-Spec provided two inspectors to supplement the Quality Assurance Teamat site during the construction phase in 2007 and 2008.

Assignment:

Provide 4 consultants for commodity inspections at several vendors’ works on piping components, fittings,and valves.

Assignment:

Provide Quality Surveillance consultants at several vendors’ works to audit fabrication activities on equipment including pressure vessels, pressure piping, steam generators, module construction, and structural steel fabrication.

Assignment:

Provide 5 consultants to assist the owner with Quality Assurance, Inspection and Contractor Surveillance on spring 2014 FCCU and Alkylation units turnaround project.

Dow Chemical Fort Saskatchewan – Spring 2012 Plant Turnaround

Assignment:

Provide 3 consultants to assist the owner with In-Service static equipment inspections and inspection of pressure piping repairs and replacements.

ABSA QMS Certificate of Authorization Permit

Client: Robert B Somerville Company

Assignment:

Assist the client with obtaining an ABSA QMS Certificate of Authorization Permit to construct and repair B31.1 and B31.3 pressure piping. Vi-Spec continues to provide QC consultants to Somerville for their pressure piping construction projects.

Oakville Refinery (Suncor) – Fall 2013 Plant Turnaround

Assignment:

Vi-Spec provided the Quality Surveillance at source for Upgrader pipe rack modules, coker vessels, reactor vessels and stripper absorber tower at the supplier's works. Suppliers were TIC, Kiewit, KBR and PCL for modules, Dacro and Hitachi (Saskatoon) for the vessels. On-site completion of reactor's fabrication.
